Plant-Robert

Plant-Robert is a rare grape variety that almost became extinct in the 1960s. It is found in the Vaud canton of Switzerland and since 2007 an association of vignerons from the Lavaux region has started protecting it. With DNA tests we have discovered that Plant-Robert is in fact a biotype of Gamay. Unlike Gamay Plant-Robert produces wine with a distinctive, spicy note.
