Torre a Cenaia "Pitti Brut" 2020

100% Chardonnay
A sparkling - charmat method white wine from the Tuscany, Pisa region of Italy.

Toasty. Marzipan & grapefruit.

Tasting Notes

Pitti Brut from Torre a Cenaia Estate has a straw yellow colour. The bead is small yet not very persistent.

On the nose the bouquet is toasty with marzipan and biscuit. There is also a fruity note with grapefruit and peach.

The mouthfeel is a round and the bubble pleasant. The notes of marzipan and grapefruit are back on the palate too.

The finish is medium and a touch bitter.

Chardonnay

Green-skinned grape variety used in wine production

Chardonnay is a grape variety with a green skin that is used to make white wine. The grape variety originated in eastern France’s Burgundy wine region, but it is now grown all over the world, from England to New Zealand. Growing Chardonnay is seen as a rite of passage for new and emerging wine regions, as well as an easy entry into the international wine market.
