Gamaret

Gamaret is a red wine grape variety. André Jaquinet crossed Gamay and Reichensteiner in 1970 at the Station Fédérale de Recherches en Production Végétale de Changins. Gamaret is a complete sibling of Garanoir, which was developed for the German part of the world. It was developed for cultivation in French Switzerland.
